A dark organization : The Ku Klux Klan

Helloooo ! Today I'm back to write an article about the worst orgization ever created : The Ku Klux Klan (KKK). A subject dear to my heart because indeed I can't stand anything that leads to belittling a person for what he/she is (racism, homophobia, sexism...) and I think that's important to denounce what these cruel people did to human being like you and I, humans with a heart and a soul. 

First I'd like to say that the KKK is an organization which brings together three distinct movements present in the United States such as white supremacy, white nacionalism and anti-immigration (...beautiful values ain't it...?). And today they also practise antisemitism and anti-Catholicism. Their movements have called for the "purification" of the U.S.A. (They should purify their mind first but whatever).

Well let's talk history. The first Ku Klux Klan "was born" in the Southern United States in the late 1860s. They wanted to overthrow the Republican state governments in the South of the United States during the Reconstruction Era (1863 - 1877, directed by the Congress). Their actions consisted in using violence against African American leaders. Their little organization was supressed in 1871 through federal law renforcement. But members kept their oganization as an outlaw organization and kept spread hate. They started to make their own costumes : robes, conical hats and masks to be "terrifying" (or ridiculous ?) and to hide their identities. 

The second group was founded in 1915. It's the one which had between 3 000 000 and 6 000 000 members. The one that killed 3 446 human beings since 1930 (and more since the beginning). This one flourished in the 1920s and this time they opposed Jews and Catholics. Their parades consisted in cross burnings and mass gatherings in white robes and masks... As frightening as a child in a pumpkin costume on Halloween..

The third and current klan emerged on 1950. They focused on opposition to the Civil Rights Movement and often used violence and murder to supress activists. It is classified as a Hate group by the Anti-defamation League, and as some think it is composed of 3 000 members, others think it is composed of 6 000 members nowadays.

Although the Ku Klux Klan swears to uphold the Christian morality, every Christian denomiation has officially denounced the KKK and their medieval vision of the world.

But the KKK is not only a United States' organization. Nowadays we find KKK-related group everywhere : in Canda, Fiji, Australia, United-Kingdom, Germany, Brazil...
